A fitness instructor and YouTuber, she is known for creating the 21 Day Fix. She is certified as a personal trainer and a part of the Beachbody community of fitness instructors. Newton and Chris Diamantopoulos were married in New York on 12 May 2005. Newton's first announcement of pregnancy was made on July 1, 2010. In early November 2010 she delivered her first son, a boy. Then she had a second baby girl at the start of 2014. Newton portrayed the character Amanda Tanen in the ABC comedy-drama show Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010. Together with her co-star Michael Urie Newton co-hosted the official Ugly Betty Podcast. Her co-star Michael Urie was also her counterpart in ABC.com's Mode After Hours.
